Our All-Russian Season Finale opens with Mussorgsky’s Promenade theme taking us through a gallery of ten pictures from the Russian Fairy-tale witch ‘Baba Yaga’ to the legendary ‘Great Gate of Kiev.’ We conclude with two very different sides of Tchaikovsky: the party scene from his epic opera ‘Eugene Onegin’ and finally his mighty ‘1812 Overture’ celebrating the Russian victory over the French.
