Ashley Fisher, soprano

A native of Chester County, Ashley Fisher attended Unionville High School where she was involved in various musical activities and studied with Alan Wagner at West Chester University. She was the soprano section leader as well as drum major of the marching band for 2 years. She appeared as Miss Hannigan in Annie and the Witch in Into the Woods, to name a few. She also participanted in the PMEA District, Regional, and the Pennsylvania All-State Chorus Festivals.

After graduation, she continued her education at the University of Maryland, receiving a Bachelor's in Music Education and studied with the world renowned soprano Carmen Balthrop.. She is currently pursuing her Masters in music education with a performance emphasis at West Chester University. Since 2007, she has been the Director of Choral Activities at Great Valley High School where she conducts the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, and Women's Chorale, student and teacher a cappella choirs, and teaches a variety of other music subjects. In addition, she teaches privately with her own studio and is also the musical director for the Great Valley Drama Guild. Outside of school, she has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center and with the Pennsylvania All-State Chorus at the Hershey Theater. She continues to be a frequent soprano soloist with the Westminster Presbyterian Chancel Choir and is extremely honored to be participating with the chancel choir in this endeavor with the Kennett Symphony.

Diane McCabe, alto

Diane began her formal voice training with Kathryna Barone at the Bryn Mawr Conservatory in Bryn Mawr, PA, and later studied with Harold Evans and Paul Adkins in Wynnewood, PA.

Diane has a large repertoire of music ranging from Rossini to Rodgers and Hammerstein. She has been employed as Alto soloist and section leader in area churches, predominantly The United Church of Christ in Philadelphia and St. David’s Episcopal Church in Radnor, PA. She has performed as contralto soloist in many classical works, including Handel’s Messiah with the Main Line Symphony.

Diane considers herself very fortunate to have completed two European choir tours where she has had the opportunity to appear as a soloist/cantor in many interesting venues from the Salisbury Cathedral in England to the Salzburg Cathedral in Austria. She has performed in St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, and in Washington D.C. at The National Cathedral, The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and The Kennedy Center.

More recently, Diane has enriched her singing experience with teaching voice at The Academy of Notre Dame in Villanova and privately, at her home.

Diane feels very blessed to be a member of the Westminster Chancel Choir with whom she has sung for the past ten years.

Lee Fisher, tenor

Lee Fisher has been a tenor soloist at Westminster for the past 25 years. Prior to Westminster, he sang professionally at Union Methodist Church in Havertown, PA and St. Luke Methodist in Bryn Mawr, PA. He has sung the tenor solos in Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, DuBois’ Seven Last Words, Saint Saens’ Christmas Oratorio, Haydn’s Creation, and many other classical works. He has also performed lead roles in many dinner theater productions including Curly in Oklahoma!, Lancelot in Camelot, Skye Masterson in Guys and Dolls, and Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun. Lee peformed and toured as a lead role in The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler , an Opera Delaware Family Theater production. A soloist for weddings and banquet programs, Lee sings with his wife, Carol, and daughters Brittany and Ashley, who is today’s soprano soloist. (He claims he taught her everything she knows!)

Lee is the owner of Fisher’s Carpet One Floor and Home, which is the anchor store of his retail development, the Shoppes at Chadds Ford located on Route 202.

Alex Krenz, bass

Alex Krenz is a 22 year-old Baritone, currently in his junior year at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. At Westminster, Alex is a Vocal Performance Major and is a member of the Baccalaureate Honor’s Program. Currently, he studies with Sharon Sweet at Westminster and Bill Neill in New York City.

During his short time in college, Alex has received numerous honors, such as twice placing second in Westminster Choir College's Voice Awards Auditions and wining first place (2008, Freshman Men Division) and second place (2009, Sophomore Men Division) in New Jersey NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) annual competition. Furthermore, Alex's voice has earned him the Presidential Scholarship, the Rider Advantage Scholarship, the Molly & Ward Bedford Scholarship, the Wilfred Bain Scholarship, and the Mary T. Suplee Endowed Scholarship at Westminster.

Outside of his collegiate studies, Alex has given a variety of different concerts and regularly appears as a guest soloist for various organizations and choirs in West Chester, PA and Princeton, NJ.

In addition to appearing in concerts, Alex has been involved with numerous musical theater and opera productions, currently this year he will be staring as Golaud in Westminster’s production of Pelléas and Mélisande.
